Cruel Intentions was a cult hit in the 90’s, putting Ryan Phillipe on the map and on girls’ bedroom walls. It also cemented Sarah Michelle Gellar (already in the middle of her Buffy run), Selma Blair, and Reese Witherspoon as household names, especially if that household had a lot of teenagers in it.

That’s why it was so awesome to see all those girls together for the birthday of director Roger Kumble at the “Unauthorized Musical Parody of Cruel Intentions” at LA’s Rockwell in Los Feliz.

The ladies got cozy by the front of the stage as they watched their characters get skewered by actors from Broadway and Pitch Perfect

According to Variety, the girls were also “singing along to all the songs, reciting lines from the movie, drinking martinis and of course, taking selfies.”

They did indeed document the evening, and luckily for us, all three of the ladies have Instagrams.

They all clearly got very into the show, tons of pic were taken

If you’re wondering where Ryan was, he attended a performance of the show back in April. And anyway, this was clearly a girls night out!

The night wouldn’t be complete without a re-enactment of that award-winning kiss from the movie (that Sarah even captioned with “my lessons paid off!”), as we see below:
